R.I.P. O.D.B.

So I am leaving for a few days (three weeks) to go on my honeymoon.  But I wanted to say hello.  You say goodbye.  And now I will pass along a very heartfelt ODB obituary written by Chauncy.  Enjoy and I'll see you on the flipside, parsnitches!

"Here lies Russell Jones (aka Ol Dirty Bastard).  He was beloved by my fellow Wu-Tang members and myself, his mother, all twelve of his children and twelve of his babies' mamas, because we all know Dirt McGirt was extremely fickle, in addition to Elton John and Spud Mckenzie. Dirt was a good soul, someone who you could always count on to say something incomprehensible and or offensive.  While he lacked certain social skills, he certainly made up for that with his gold teeth and alcohol fueled episodes of unbridled insanity.   If you were close to Dirt, he wouldn't do anything to you.  But if you did him wrong, he wouldn't be afraid to climb on top of your whip and take a dump on it in pure daylight, while screaming the "Pledge of Allegiance" for some reason.  That's why we all loved him."

Naked Ladies and Football Stars

I mentioned this last night on the air, but I thought maybe it was "blog-worthy" as well: is the pre-MNF clip of Terrell Owens and that naked Desperate Housewives woman really that big a deal? Sure, in this post-Janet-Jackson's-breast world, you can never be too sensitive about airing racy content when children might be watching. ABC should have known better than to stir that particular pot less than a year after that whole mess.

But... maybe everyone should be more upset that the actress was Nicolette Sheridan, who used to have sex with Michael Bolton. T.O. wouldn't want Michael's sloppy seconds!!! I think he might be more of an Eva Longoria guy (she's the one who's sleeping with the teenage gardener).

On a side note, do you think T.O. ever makes up victory dances for after he... uh, never mind.

Are you kidding me?!?!?!

I just got back from lunch, and when I was riding around my hand slipped on the dial, and much to my surprise... I heard HOLIDAY MUSIC!!!! So naturally, I looked at my watch (to verify the date)-unfortunately I was correct, IT'S NOVEMBER 12TH! Grrr.....

This has got me all upset; I think I'll write a letter to complain.

To the station playing holiday music:
Please having the common courtesy to wait until
AFTER Thanksgiving Day.
thanks.

Vote or Diet

Hola.  Mi casa, su casa?  Listen (or, more appropriately, read): if you are eligible and registered, go vote today.  It's important.  It's not particularly cool.  It might take a while.  The lines are probably going to be long.  You might get hungry or impatient.  It might even rain.  But afterwards, when you've left the booth, you will feel good.  I promise.  There's this empowering feeling you get after participating in the process that you won't quite understand until you've done it.  It’s kind of like rooting for the Red Sox.  So if you’re on the fence about it, go vote.  If you’re not sure of which candidates you like, go vote anyway.  Listen to your friends.  Listen to your relatives.  Listen to the people you trust, form an opinion, and go vote.  If you have any questions about voting, call 1-866-MYVOTE1.  Good luck and thanks!
